Site Development – Pre-Application Meeting and Conceptual Review
The city (via the City Zoning Ordinance) has developed processes to ensure all stakeholders communicate when site plans are required. As a first step, we encourage applicants to schedule a pre-application meeting, it’s an:
- Opportunity for all stakeholders to make an initial assessment, and initiate communications regarding the city’s zoning and related planning phases.
- Opportunity for city staff, the zoning administrator, and the applicant to discuss the proposed project and exchange contact information.
- The flowchart (in the next column) was developed to supplement the city’s zoning ordinance and give staff and external stakeholders a clear path forward.
