The City of Lake City Department of Public Works (DPW) is led by Raymond Vasser, a dedicated and longtime city employee. Over the years, Mr. Vasser has served the community in a wide range of roles, including work at the cemetery, within the fire company, the water department, and as the former Director of the Downtown Development Authority.

Currently holding the titles of City Superintendent and DPW Manager, he oversees a variety of critical management functions for the city. What sets Superintendent Vasser apart is his hands-on approach—he regularly performs field work typically beyond the scope of his role. His leadership, strong work ethic, and deep commitment to Lake City are evident in all he does, making him an invaluable asset to the community.
