Background:

  • Appointed City Clerk
  • Took an Oath of Office as prescribed by the state constitution
  • Elected at large
  • Term Expires: 2025
  • Responsible for all records
  • Responsible for elective processes
  • Has the ability to appoint a deputy within budgetary constraints
  • City Clerk (or Deputy Clerk) shall attend all meetings of the City Council and shall keep a permanent journal of council proceedings
  • Shall be the custodian of the city seal and related processes
  • Shall provide ample notice to proper officials regarding terms of office, bonds, franchises, contracts or agreements
  • Shall keep a copy of and record of all ordinances, resolutions, and actions of the council along with concerns with such matters as prescribed by state law
  • Responsible for records, oaths, certification

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serves as general accountant for the city
  • Maintains an inventory of city owned property
  • Responsible for financial reports
  • Inquiry audit duties; as directed
  • Budget Officer
  • Shall perform such other duties as the council shall direct, or which may be required by law.
